I think it depends on the kind of apple. You have the Red Delicous apple, The Golden Delicious apple, The Red Rome apple, The Winesap Apple, The Granny Smith Apple, The McIntosh Apple and the Jonathan apple.

Until you have tried all 7 Of them, the SHO can beat a Mustang in 3rd gear.

My girl friend has a nice pear :)

Yeah, we know.

But back to the topic at hand. Go to a race shop in your area and ask them. When it was all said and done, it cost me about 5 grand in material and labor to have The Other Woman blown with the used Roots blower. I think the turbo will end up costing about 1,000 more.

I dont know where you get 6k from. A NICE blower setup shouldnt run you anymore than 3k. Leaving out the fuel upgrades, guages, tuning, and misc because any forced air will require that anyway. Well..... For most people anyway

.

that price was from some one here at the forum that offers super charger kits, 6 k was the complete kit.

i am soooooo sick and tired of this question.. everyone knows turbos are better in almost every way and cheaper and much more relieable and way longer lasting (50k to 100k miles) they make more power get better gas... and they extend the life of the engine and put much less strain on the crankshaft.. and thats all i have to say.

Both turbos and superchargers have their place. I wouldn't say they are reliable... A lot of that depends on what you get either way. I doubt I will have a problem with my Vortech before you have a problem with your turbo.

Less strain on the crankshaft? That's minuet. If you have a properly run setup, you don't need to run the belt tight. Power is power... So if you're making the same power, you're putting comparble stress on the turbo'd crank as you would with the SC'd crank. In fact, compared to a centrifugal, I'd say the turbo is more likely to put more stress on the crank due to the high torque numbers.

I always got great gas mileage with my SC... Most of the bad gas mileage is directly related to ones right foot.

Turbochargers are great, don't get me wrong, but don't come on here preaching how much better they are than a supercharger as where one is better the other has something better too.

BTW, it helps to read the original post... He never asked which was better.

Yep turbos are very efficient but I like to go fast so I'll stick with my supercharger.
