Yes rare, but can be found, there is 3 for sale here local.

205 hp and 248 lbs torque(1985.5 SVO) is not bad HP for a 4cyl. Add 3" downpipe/exhaust with a FMIC..........

Nick here ....

hiow much HP are you looking to get, and how much are you looking to spend ?

in somedudes case, theres about $2200 in fab work (if a shop had done it)but his car was a good bit more complex because its an ATX .... leaving very little room for everything needed

well im not sure about how much hp turbos can add to a stock motor, but around 50 hp.

Just from that statement right there, let me give you a little advice, search the site for "turbo" and "supercharger" and read every thread. Sure, you could turbo it to get 50hp, but why bother. If all you're after is 50hp, than get N2O and call it good. The few turbo SHO's are around are all making a little more than an extra 50hp :nut:

Me, I built a custom supercharger kit that pushes 9 psi and the car dyno'd at 370whp and 290wtq. My car when it was stock (5 years ago) made 185hp and 175twq. So that's an overall increase of 185hp and 115wtq. Granted I have a lot of other mods that help the numbers along, but a pretty much a stock motor with just a S/C or Turbo should be over the 300whp with very little trouble.

stock sho engines can usualy handle up to 450hp (at the wheels) before internal engine mods are required ... which is about 270 whp more then stock

this of course assumes that the install was done "properly" which means bigger fuel pump, injectors, FPR, and a quality tune (lpm or tweecer) to go along w/ the other turbo parts

I believe Gary is looking at 350whp on his SVO. This is from what I've gathered, I don't think I've actually asked him, however he's doing everything right. I can't wait to see that thing in action in about 10 years :) J/K Gary!

for that hp range, a gt25 would be about the right size, they are rated at 440 crank hp

that size turbo could be mouted in the center console **** behind the engine w/o fear of it being ripped off

would be rather a rather simple setup to fab, either w ith a side intercooler or no intercooler at all

your still probably looking at 900 + worth of fab work tho, and thats on top of 2500 in parts (iof u bargain shop)

you can gain 50hp with a y pipe, 3.2 swap, +40 cams, EH Intake and BBB's.....

in some cases, you would gain more then 50hp..... the average for that setup seems to be 250whp..... factor in most SHO's dyno 185-190whp

or you can always put a zex kit on it..... or both.......

I should have between 500-600whp from my SVO in just a few months (barring a catastrophe of course).

440bhp from a 25 lb/min GT25R? Not even David Copperfield can perform that trick. A GT25 is so puny for 3.0L that it would amount to nothing but an expensive lesson in why one shouldn't even say "turbo" until he learns how to interpret a compressor map.

A BB 60-1 or 62-1 would make for a much wiser choice.

Yes, you are hereby in 'time out' for the rest of the day. LOL

If someone were doing a GT series, I'd recommend nothing less than a GT30 (3076R) with large (e.g. .82 A/R) hotside.
