you are in ohio right? i'min western NY i can make it into ohio in about 1.5 hours, my cousins live in cortland so i make the drive a lot anyway.

if you can make it to norwalk raceway park on some friday i'll pay your way in. they open the gates at 4:30 and since it's test & tune the tree is heads-up. don't rush though, I still have a few things to work out on mine.

I would like to pick your brain on ATX rebuilding techniques as my unit is stock.

Tim did you want the high pressure spring? it came out of a china-made Tial knock-off so let me PM you the measurements to make sure it will fit.

I want in on the fun too. I may ride down with Alex if I don't bring my 13 sec SHO.

half-way there, I think.
Hey congrats on getting it running. Hopefully those ShoShop injectors don't give you to much trouble with tuning :thumb:

Edit: Nice job, BTW

wow that really sounds awsome. Sounds like you guys know what you are doing. You should get a video, I would love to see that animal with no bumper and that huge turbo just hangin off the side.

we inputed the lincon maf (which is temporary because my lightning didn't arrive yet)
Out of curiosity, are you using the latest D4U1.DAT file from Josh's TwEECer page?

we might have to have a Turbo ATX race, once yours is all worked out. maybe at the next convention.
Assuming I can ever find the time and remaining funds to complete my blower build-up, I'd like to join that lil' shoot-out.

no dynotune yet, but 15psi from a 67mm turbo should be something like 450 hp to the wheels on a proper tune
Given the limited access that almost all chip burners and dyno shops have to the '94-'95 D4U1 program (e.g. not quite as much as the TwEECer and certainly nowhere near what Josh and I have), I would be interested to see what kind of results your dyno shop can produce with the tools that are available to them.

Do you plan to let them do all the tuning or do you guys plan to have a hand in it?

Also, will they be utilizing your TwEECer or are you going to have them burn you a chip?

ok we got the boost where we want it. so i pulled to the side of the highway (the 400 for those that know the area) i brake boost the crap out of it to try and get boost from a stop but all i could muster up was about a pound so i release the brake and about 500rpm's later the boost starts to build and she pulls hard... real hard all the way through first through second and part of teh way through third, i let off at 100mph and dang it came up fast. there is no doubt my mind that this is a low 14 sec car or better.

this turbo seems sized perfectly for this engine in teh fact that the etremely low boost launch allows me to retain traction then almost instantly i get boost. there is a dark side to the story though. we started to notice some smoke... a lot of smoke so i get on teh brakes hard and pull over... we decide to get the car towed to my house because working on the side of the highway is not safe. the oil fitting to the oil pan had come loose a bit and we blew the rear crank seal out of its seat. so we got it back into place and tightened the fitting. so tomorrows priority will be to get a check valve so we arn't pressureizing the crankcase anymore.

if anyone is interested in some more pics or specs on the car check sonikempire.com

it the oil return at the top or bottom of the pan (in other words above or below the oil level)?

good luck, FYI I have the tilton feed a 3/8" line that dumps into the front valve cover vent fitting, jankity but functional.

Just got a ride in it yesterday, the gearing/turbo sizing couldn't be better. That FPS tranny kicks ass too, makes me want to ditch my mtx. :)
