My friend and I are having a little argument. Is there a difference between an email tune, like the ones sent from torrie or LMS, and tuning on a dyno? They say you can optimize more hp from a dyno tune and that they are better. But from my understanding the tunes sent from you guys have been dynoed and proven right? Please help. Thanks.

Yeah you can fine tune a unleashed (torrie)without the dyno. Not sure about lms.. But I imagine if you take it to either tuner and throw it on the dyno they can dial it in faster. I personally like being able to log, so changes can be made if need be. I would think data logs from the street driving would tell the whole story though. I personally wouldn't spend the money on a dyno tune unless you are racing competitively

The "email" tunes are very good approximations of what you would get with a dyno tune. If you have a custom setup, you would want to tune/finetune on a dyno so the tuner gets a "feel" for your setup if they have not run across one like it before.
