Car was in shop today for 1st service and the check on the brakes, my dealer confirmed that my car does need the new parts, but said the parts are still on back order. I will post more as I get the call from the dealer that the parts are in stock and after they do the TSB. Otherwise, car seems fine.

Does anyone have the actual link to where i can click on it, print it out, and bring it with me to the dealer?

I'd greatly appreciate that as I'd like the dealer to check mine over as well during the next service visit. Thanks in advance!

I don't have a copy, but my dealer said there is another TSB about the brakes, but he was kinda busy, and I didn't think to ask him the number, however, I will make an effort to find out and post it.

Yup, Here you go:

tsb10-17-03.pdf

Hardest part was finding a way to upload it online... I don't have an FTP to host it on. This free service works pretty good.

Oh, and I saw your pics from Tony's this year...Your car looks great. Wish I could have made it out.

If someone wants to give me access to their FTP I can upload ALL the TSBs currently active...

mine is in today to get the brakes, tranny and blind side issues dealt with.

I have also had an intermittent issue with it pulling very hard to the right, so they are looking at that also.

I haven't heard anything about 12K miles, the TSB states that it will be repaired under warranty conditions, which would be at least 36K unless you have an extended warranty.

Dealer just called this morning (after I complained about not hearing from them yesterday), seems like the parts are in to do the TSB. So next Thursday car goes in for the repair. Dealer said that the rotors were on backorder. Also got a certificate for free oil change since the dealer is so far away, and they didn't want to order parts before seeing the car.

US & Canada must have different parts warehouses. I took mine in Monday and had the car back Tuesday with the TSB done. New rotors etc. So far, the noise is gone.

Anyone having issues after the TSB has been done?

Mine was completed 10 days ago. Now, every morning when I back out of the driveway, my brakes squeal loud enough to wake up my son in his room upstairs.

Goes away by the time I am at the end of the cul de sac, but I am wondering if I still have the same issue as before, and if the grinding will be back in a few weeks.

also .. the (&$#^&%$^& dealer marred one of my wheels when they did the TSB, and I am still fighting them about it .

Well, I brought my SHO in today for it's second oil change (10K) and I have been experiencing this brake issue so I printed out the TSB and got them to check it for me. I just got a call from my dealer that the parts are ordered and will be in tomorrow.
I will report back tomorrow and hope that this resolves the issue..... Tonight I'm going to take a new 2011 Grand Cherokee home :)

Wow, that's pretty fast to get the parts for the brake issue, it took a couple of weeks to get the rotors here in Pennsylvania....yet us know what you think of the new Grand Cherokee, I've always liked these and was very close to getting an Orvis Edition back in '96.

Yup, I was fairly impressed with the guys at my Ford dealership. Of course I do know quite a few people that work there but still, I've heard from many others that they offer a great service experience to them as well.

I myself happen to work at a Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep store so I took this opportunity to drive the new Grand Cherokee home. I'm very impressed with Chrysler's new interiors and the overall quality ride and feel of the Jeep...... This is a GREAT vehicle! However this is all another story for another forum... I'll stop before this thread gets highjacked with "I hate Jeep or screw Dodge" comments ;)

I just had this TSB 10-17-3 performed this weekend on my SHO.
Wow, what a difference. The rotors look better too. Took almost a month to get the parts.
I'm considering getting the caliper MGP covers. Anyone have experience with those? Suggestions/best price, place to buy, etc. PM me if so..

I get the same noise in reverse - the squeal. As well, my dealer also messed up 1 rim. The attempted to refinish the rim - did a half decent job but scored the inside so bad that I asked for a new rim. Hence - they ordered a new one and then scratched that putting it on.. so had to order another one! What an ordeal. Keep on them - if they did the damage, they should replace it.
