Well it seems I have a trunk leak. Last week we got a lot of rain here. About four straight days of it. Well this weekend I noticed when I opened my trunk a really musty smell wasn't sure what it was. Well today I got some free time and began poking around and noticed in the wheel well behind the passenger side tire, the carpet was damp. I pulled up the rest of the carpet and noticed that it was damp in the spare tire well and there was candensation on everything too. I'm trying to determine what the leak could be coming from but I won't get a chance to test it with a hose or anything until this weekend. So I guess I might as well just replace the trunk seal and get it over with.

I also noticed a crack in the drain plug behind the passenger well. Can I get a replacement for this or should I just throw some caulk over it? Anything else I should be looking for. I want to add that this past June I pulled off my spoiler and had it repainted. But just now noticed that it was getting wet so I don't think it is a problem. Any help would be great. Also where can I buy weatherstripping?

One other thing if you made it this far, I have the carpet out and that little pad in the spare tire well out drying. What can I spray on those to get rid of the smell and **** the germs/mold? I can't put it back in there like that. Thanks again everybody.

I'm thinking about replacing those, $3 from Ford and the weatherstripping and I hope that does the trick. Thanks for the input.

I don't even know if I know what you're talking about. Can you point me in the right direction?

look behind the trim work very close to the passenger rear tailight and there is a rubber tube that should not be laying loose it should be plugged into a drain hole. just look around in the right rear and you'll find it.
