Hey Ron, if Tom doesn't need them, I could really use them. Mine aren't the greatest, to say the least. Thanks. :)

OMG WTF FREE RTV LOL Y0!
Oil%20pan%20gaskets.jpg

It's actually not free RTV. :) It's what you need to seal the sides of the oil pan with. If they didn't include it, you kinda have a "small" leak from the sides of the pan. :snicker:

Ron, it sounds to me like Hamal (Racer X) could use them more than I could - the ones from the other motor were in fantastic shape. :) I will stand here and vouch for Ron as a great 60k'er too. :thumb: masho95, yes, I know it's not free RTV. I had to pay for it. ;)

Mike and I will be busy later on this evening, so I will hopefully have more pictures later on.

Thanks guys.

So far as the chain goes, if it works, it works.

I'm going to drop that down and begin working on swapping accessories and yanking the tranny.

You need to put some pictures up of your car, good lawd that's a hot SHO.

Hey Tom and Mike, when you go to reinstall, a tip on the chain...

I went around my manifolds, used a rag to protect the valve covers from the chain, and then tied a ratcheting tie down strap around the lift arm of the engine crane and hooked it to the bolts for the black bracket (with the bracket removed, obviously) at the side of the MTX.

Poor man's load leveler FTW. :thumb:

I'll have to remember to snap a pic or two when I go to reinstall my drivetrain tomorrow or Friday. :)

Oh and btw, Ron nevermind about those intake gaskets. I found a parts warehouse locally that carried the set. In their regular stock, at that.

Yeah please take a pic...I'm having a tough time visualizing this. I usually pull from 3 points: the bracket near the alternator, one of the trans bolts, and the bolt behing the power steering pump that holds the bottom part of the bracket for the intake. The problem we had is I forgot the bottom of that bracket is open and I attached the chain to the top part of it. Once we got weight on there from lifting the bracket slid out. I usually go from the bottom but there wasn't sufficient clearance. One of my smarter moves yes...:nut:

Bump, as pics are fixed - and here's some new ones as well :) Saleen SHO, do you still need the diameters? Please let me know and I'll get them for you.

Garage is busy.

Goes here, attaches to front mount in car. Everything is in great condition and easy to work with.

Here's a minor difference that cost me 45mins. of work - the engine lifting eye have slightly different bolt locations. The modernized '95 mount is smaller, has a deeper bead rolled into it, and has the bolt locations directly across from each other, while the '91 has offset holes and a taller arm. Interesting :), but not when you can't figure out why nothing is lining up on your mount.

Only difference I've seen so far.

I think I found the problem
