Got a problem, pulling the engine from the top in my 94 mtx, but can't get flywheel to clear bell housing.

When pulling engine from top do you need to pull transmission as well?

Anyone write up a FAQ on this?

no, but you typically need to pull the accessories and crank pulley off the engine to get enough room to move the engine out of the trans enough (this is what the manual tells you to do). although, you can also tip the pulley end up enough to wiggle it out in my experience.

I just pulled a motor today. I left the transmission on and it came out quite easily. I also left on all accessories. I only removed the intake.

Thanks. I'll have to put a couple bell housing bolts back in and pull the axles and stuff.
