? trouble codes ?

how can you find trouble codes? Ive allways use a snapon scanner, but i dont have one of my own, so what are the other methods of finding the trouble codes....isnt there away using wire and a bulb? i dunno.....

All you neeed is a short jumper and your ignition key. The link below will show you how to install the jumper. To run the test, just turn the ignition key to ON and watch the CHECK ENGINE light blink out the codes. This link also has links for the 2 or 3-digit code descriptions. Cars up through 1991 used the two-digit codes. From 1992 and up they used the three digit codes.
