would a tranny from 95 SHO (5spd) fit in a 91 SHO?

If the tranny you're looking at is cable, it ain't outta a '95. There's a bunch of ways to tell which shifter you have, easiest is just to look under the car. Two big rods coming from underneath where the top of the shifter is to tranny = rod shifter.pj'l_master said:will the shop have to make any changes to it?
and how do i tell if my current tranny is rod shift or cable shift?
the one im lookin at is cable...if the one in my car now is rod how difficult will that be to change?
This is not correct. Any MTX-IV tranny that has a drain plug had it installed after the car left the assembly plant by either an owner, tranny rebuilder or such.shospeed143 said:Yes the tranny will fit the only thing that they changed is the put a drain plug in.
