I have a 4th gen 1995 sho tuarus 3.0 mtx transmission and shortly before it grenaded I noticed the revers would grind until the trany slowed down.i did some studying and found out this is couse by a ring under the locking gear that slows the gears down slow enough to engage the next gear. I know there are no full rebuild kits out there but I was wondering it there was a kit to put new rings and seals in.if anyone knows please message me.

the "ring under the locking gear that slows the gears down slow enough to engage the next gear" is called a blocking ring. They are in all synchronized transmissions on all synchronized gears. However, reverse in the mtx SHO transmission is not synchronized, only the forward gears are. The accepted practice to avoid grinding reverse is to shift into first or second before shifting into reverse.

What does "before it grenaded" mean? Because typically it means the case is broken, in which situation new blocking rings won't really be of any value to you...
