I have been told by my mechanic friend that loves sho's that the new mazda 6 speed manual will work on the 3.4l v8 does anyone have any info on the truth of this or is it just a myth.....
I just started on my mr2 build with a 3.2l and the 5speed...... just wanted to know about the v8 thing... also want to know if the mtx4 will bolt to the v8 not that I am going to do that but if it will and the 6 speed will bolt to the v8 why not back the 3.2l with the 6 speed

thank you but I read that sticky and I didnt see what I am talking about that sticky was talking about using the mtx4 with the v8.( well ok it dealt with part of what I asked in this thread) but I am honestly more interested in the rumor of the mazda 6 speed manual bolting to the v8 ( is it true or not)

It talks about cutting frame rails etc. Will it bolt to the V8? Probably. Will it work? Dunno....try it. For me, a five speed is good enough since it is lighter and the parts and work are available from NESHO. Save a few more pennies and the car will get an appointment with Kirk.

i got a mtx V8 with the sho transmission kirk at nesho did it and i would save your self the time and effort and ship it over to him and he can do it for you

The obvious question is 96 black, how do you like it? How much did it change the car? And the ultimate question, was it worth it?
