I need a list of the best combo of upgrades/ replacements and any tricks needed for our transmissions. I am going to have to let my baby go under the knife so I want to make sure it is the last time ( fingers crossed). If anyone could compile a list I would appriciate it greatly. Thanks

While I'm not an expert on Gen 3 AX4Ns, they should be similar enough to the Gen 2 AX4S that the following article will apply, if nothing else in a good general sense or as an outline, anyway:

Brad Hogue of SHOfast or Doug Lewis at FPS in Georgia are two famous SHOp owners who might be able to help you out if you have any questions. I'll let some of the other, more experienced Gen 3'ers chime in here for the rest of the thread.

The tranny has been deemed a wear item . While there are ax4n 's that go on & on , most require a freshening up ( rebuild ) a couple times in it's lifetime . Follow Brad or Doug's recommendations and it will last longer . Routine (@ 15-25k )flush and fills along with an extra capacity tranny cooler are considered mandatory over fuds interval .
