Could I test to see if it is in range using a voltmeter? I'm planning on testing at the connector on the top of the transmission. What woud be an acceptable value for the epc, 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift seleniods? What would be the peak and lowest value for the vss? I have a very hard 1st to 2nd shift and when at wot the car will not shift into the next gear at all. I'm getting a high transmission pressure code. Any help would be great! By the way I have already tested the tps and maf and they both seem to be good.

The shift solenoids are simple on/off devices. You can measure the control line and see what it is being commanded.

The EPC solenoid is a pulse-width modulated device. You'd need an o'scope to see the waveform to accurately monitor the signal to it.

The VSS outputs an AC signal whose frequency is proportional to ground speed. A frequency meter or o'scope is needed.

Check and post your actual DTC since there are no pressure sensors inside the AX4S.

You can buy an inexpensive hydraulic pressure gauge to measure the hydraulic side of the system. I pair around 35 dollars a few years ago at the local O'Reillys for them to special order it for me.
