Why does it seem like my car wants to shift into overdrive gear way too fast, meaning before it seems like it should?? Anyone else have this problem, is it just the way these trannys are?? Seems to me that it always wants to get into overdrive way too early and only stays in od for a few seconds until it "realizes" that it needed to stay in drive longer, then will shift back into drive....just seems like it shifts between overdrive and drive way too much. Is this just normal operation for these trannys??

Not shifting so much back and forth from 3rd to 4th. It will shift into 4th rather quickly, this is dependent on the throttle position though.

Are you sure it isn't just the craptastic TC programming Ford uses with the CC in a AC mode?

It could possibly be the craptastic TC programming because my sho shifts very very similar to all mid 90's F-series pickups I have had in the past. Maybe a stupid question but what do you mean by the CC in AC mode??? Thanks

The CC climate control will have the AC compressor in a ready state or on in any position other than vent and floor.
