I just bought the 94 mtx listed on this sight. The only thing that seemed to be "wrong" with it was that it need the trans mount changed. well that was not the case. when i went to have it changed they showed me that the bolt inserts were cracked and a piece was missing on the rear one. The bolts that were used were two different thread patterns and were way to long. 4 to 5 washers were used to make up the difference. they drilled it out and re taped both inserts but during the process more pieces broke off. It has been suggested that i have it welded and re drilled and tapped. Will it be as strong and safe to do this? Oh and that was not the problem. It is the rear engine mount. i have pictures if any one wants to see what it looks like.
