Can someone let me know exactly where the transmission cooler is located?
I looked under the front of my car last night and all I see, going from front towards the back is 1 - power steering cooler, 2 - a/c cooler, 3 - radiator.
Thanks in advance!

It is the tube on top of the finned PS cooler. Some '99s had two finned tubes. It is the one with the smaller hose of the two and if you follow the hose out of the passenger end it will go to the radiator.

I always would recommend a synthetic fluid in the GEN 3. This along with the cooling improvements made by adding a cooler and upgrading the cooler lines will give you the best cooling which = longer life.

FWIW I recommend Amsoil Universal ATX.

The TC's random locking unlocking is Ford's idea of good programming. You will need a tune to get rid of it and lengthen the life of your TC.
