tranny wants to fall out (MTX)

Sometimes (more often now) when i shift from first to second, or second to third, i hear and feel a terrible thunk. As soon as i pull it out of a gear it feels like it is going to fall out from underneath my car. I hope i explained this adequetly. Any ideas??

Sounds like some bad motor/tranny mounts, or a loose subframe bolt(s)...

i have the same exact problem or feeling so to speak. Basically it feels like the tranny is really loose, but i have brand new tranny mount, brand new HD subframe bushings, brand new reinforced front and rear mounts. I think what it is, is the bushings in the actually rod shifter are worn out,my shifter sucks! its soooo damn sloppy, not crisp at all, not sure how to fix it either.
