My transmission in my 95 is making a noise like it has marbles rolling around in it, My friends 90 made the same noise, and after talking to the people at shoshop they said this is normal. I have also read post about putting synthetic or additives to get rid of noises. When starting of it is sometime hard to get into 1st gear but after driving and downshifting into 1st again at a stoplight it slides in like butter. Does anyone know if this is a problem.

I get the same kinda noise pulling away from a stop. It seems to be TOB noise, but it does not go away immediately after engageing the clutch.

I am gonna do a tranny fluid replacement soon. These trannys use atx fluid, don't they? Any recommendations on type of fluid would be appreciated.

i've heard a "marbles rolling around" noise is normal when first taking off...called "gear rollover" or something like that. I've had 3 SHOs and they've all done it

Thanks munk. Is there really any possible justification for spending the jack on the redline stuff? This is a daily driver which ain't ever gonna see the track, unless one of you fellas wanna sponsor me. Well, anybody?
