Hi, Many of you know this answer I'm sure, but I don't/ Please tell me if I can replace the tranny mount in my driveway if I just block up the engine..This is on Silvia, 1990..Or do I have to mess with axels or anything else just to get the old one out. Thanks in advance for your help. I'm thinking ahead...Could save 100 bucks too

It can be done in the driveway no problem. Put the car up on jack stands. Remove the drivers wheel and inner fender liner and is right there. I recommend removing the negative cable on the battery and then removing the crossover tube with the DIS on it. That way you don't accidently damage something when jacking up the trans to replace it.

Hey, thanks you very much...and do ya have to loosen the other side the motor mounts on the "front" of the engine...ie..how high do you have to jack it up to get out the old mount?
