I did the clutch and other things in my car, wondering how I check the fluid level in the tranny. Im gonna fill it from the senson on the top of the tranny. Also, I did the rod bearings in the car while I had it apart, is there a chance that I may have tightend the rod nuts too much??? I torqued that as close as possible. Thanks

did you use a torque wrench? yes, there is a possibilty that you could have stretched the studs.

and there is a filler on the front of the tranny. use a 3/8 drive with an extnsion. gotta look for it alittle, but not to hard to find... front of tranny about middle.

ok great... do you know if there is a level I can follow. I didnt drain the fluid when I took it out but I figure about a quart to a quart and a half was emptied while doing it.

just fill until it starts to come back out...
try to do this with the car level on the ground, or level on jackstands.. as in, with all four corners up... (that way you can still get under the car) the tranny will hold 3 qts. no more..
