Tranny Cooler

Hey all i have a cooler i want to install. The question i have is the little cooler that is in front of the radiator which section of it is the tranny line. The top without the fins or the bottom with the fins. I have a 96'. Thanks all.

On my car it is the bottom one without the fins. But at any rate it is the smaller of the two. The PS is ~1/2" and the ATX is ~3/8".

Just hope that the bolts that the website shows to mount the brackets arent rusted to the frame. Mine were and they both snapped. What should have been a two hour job turned into more like a 6 hour job.

Even if they are i have a red wrench and a mig welder :evilgrin: somethin will work but i am not going to take the front end of my car off to do it.

just the front bumper needs to come off....no big deal

It really isn't hard to take off the bumper cover. The one nut on each side behind the front fender liners are the only hidden ones. Only about 6 connectors IIRC. This makes the job so much easier. The Air Bag sensors will have to be disconnected behind the headlights which also have to come out. Be sure to disconnect the battery first. Also a good time to change parking lamp bulbs.
