(is this maintenance OR performance )

I just had my tranny flushed at the Express ****. It has 90,000 miles. It will be covered under warranty until about 110,000 miles. I am guessing I have the original tranny. If so, I'm sure its days are numbered. Seems fine at the moment though. I know tranny coolers are a must for our ATX's. Do I add one NOW, and possibly prolong its life until the day AFTER the warranty expires  , or wait until the warranty is up... if its going to croak, I certainly want it to do so in the next 20,000 miles.
Opinions?

I would just drive the **** out of it until it rolls over and dies, then when they rebuild/replace give them the cooler and a shift kit to install.

that link is to an index of gauges and radiators  ;)

Didn't your tranny ALREADY have a cooler on it anyways? Or would the shop have added a SECOND one?

Sorry about the link, here's the one I meant http://store.summitracing.com/defau...word&searchtype=both&part=transmission+cooler In most folk's opinions, the stock cooler isn't enough. Most good tranny shops will install another cooler on top of the stock one as heat kills atx's. When I had my atx rebuilt and went in to pay for the service, the guy at the counter tried to charge me for the cooler until I let him know that the car had it on when it went into the shop.

Im having my tranny in my 96 rebuilt now should I look into getting another tranny cooler?

And there is a stock tranny cooler? Another one would replace it or be a second cooler on the tranny?

I have a large oil cooler and the stock aux cooler. I plan to add at least another one I have laying around.
