I've been hauling my motorcycles around on the back on Bluie for years and recently installed a class II in Green, bought a nice looking splice kit only to hook it up and find the wiring harness isn't working. Pretty screwie, making me think its just defective internal.

Does anybody have a wiring diagram or decent instructions so I can get this square b/4 a trip down with a new smoker and big TV for my Brother and Son respectively.

TIA,
Plat0/Chris

Just found this: http://www.etrailer.com/faq-wiring.aspx
The splice kit I have is powered. I take it from the artical this for a light or winch, etc on the trailer. since I don't have these can I just cut out the converter block that the splice connectors feed from the vehical side and power the trailer lights from the light wire in the trunk.

I'm thinking I can just cut the wires, remove the black device, tap it into a 4-wire flat plug and I'm good to go... anybody got an Amen?

Tapping directly would only work if the turn signals are shared with the brake lights, as they are on the Gen I's. I think the Gen II's have sovereign turn signals, which means you would need a converter to split the brake light feed into two turn signal outputs. It looks just like yours, except that the "battery" feed is labeled "brake".
