TPS needs help

my 93 ATX gets a high idle once in a while. I will tap the throttle position sensor and idle will come down to normal. about 2 weeks later, did same thing. I again tap sensor, idle returns to normal. I replaced the TPS about 2 years ago. cheap, only about $30. before I just get a new one, is there anyway to clean this sensor?

Nope. You'll break it more trying to take it apart. Just get a new one...

that's what I figured. maybe I'll wait until it does it a 3rd time
