Getting another set of wheels and tires. I have to also buy TPMS sensors. Are there more then one frequency for our cars or are they all 315 mhz? Lot of mfg's make these. Are there any one to stay away from?

Whatever ones that Tire Rack provided work fine with my car. I have no idea what type, frequency they are, however. But if you are going thru a different source, hopefully someone else can answer your questions. I have had no issues at all with the sensors I got out of the deal however. Do not enjoy the process to get the car to re-learn them when switching wheels, however.

Recently went through this with my winter tires/rims - went to Ford, payed $76 each (list was $90).

They wanted my VIN before they would sell them to me. Parts guy said one is very popular, the other is used rarely.

My 2016 SHO used the "popular" ones. Just went to fordparts.com, and my 2016 uses the 315Mhz one based on the list price ($90.02)

But to be safe, call a Ford dealer and see what they say.

It's interesting that you had to have it relearn TDS-MN, when I put my 18's on, it didn't care that I switched anything. Now I'm wondering if it'll trigger the TPMS if a tire gets low ;)

I guess I only went thru the procedure because that's what Tire Rack instructions said to do. I have not tried to verify that the system is working, but I have not had any indicator light after the re-learn.

I will say that the system saved us on the OE wheels/tires one morning. Found a drywall screw after seeing the indicator on the dash. Thankfully I had the winter set nearby and ready to go, just swapped those on and good to go. Screw was on the tire shoulder, thus meaning that I'll be buying a new full set come springtime.

One thing I wish this car had, is a display in the dash showing tire pressure status. Loaner Fusion I recently had did this, and the kid's Jeep Cherokee does this too. I would like to have that info available. I'm sure that the car reads and stores this somewhere.
