I just bought winter wheels for my 2016 and after a week the TPMS light finally came on. I am trying to reset the TPMS but none of the instructions seems to totally match my car. Most of the instructions for the push button say to hold the button down at least two seconds so the car enters RUN mode. I can hold mine forever at it only goes into ACC mode on the first push. The second push puts it into RUN mode. I have tried the instructions both leaving it in RUN or even leaving it in ACC but the relearn never gets triggered. Has anyone successfully accomplished this?

Subscribing as I have a 16 that winter wheels/tires will be going on shortly that have Ford tpms and hopefully will not set the light off.

my understanding is that you need a tech to do it as you need to tell the computer that there are different sensors there now.

Which TPMS did you buy MN66? If they are not OEM, you will have to go to a tire shop, they should be able to pull up data on and relearn the sensors. I hope they are at least the correct frequency?

Even though I was too stupid to get this under the correct forum, I still have the answer. Maybe the moderator could move this to the Gen4 Forum?

I was doing it correctly; I guess I was just not using the correct mojo.

From Ford:

1. With the ignition OFF, press and release the brake pedal.
2. Using the start/stop switch, position the ignition from OFF to RUN 3 times, ending in the RUN position. (Basically Push, Push, Pause, Push, Pause, Push, Push, Pause, Push, Pause, Push, Push).
3. Press and release the brake pedal.
4. Position the ignition to OFF position (Push)
5 Using the start/stop switch, position the ignition from OFF to RUN 3 times, ending in the RUN position. (Like above)
- The horn will sound once and the TPMS indicator will flash if the training mode has been entered successfully. If equipped, the message center will display TRAIN LF TIRE.
6. Place the Tire Pressure Monitor Activation Tool on the LF tire sidewall at the valve stem. Press and release the test button on the TPMACT. The horn will sound briefly to indicate that the tire pressure sensor has been recognized by the BCM.
7. Within 2 minutes of the horn sounding, place the TPMACT on the RF tire sidewall at the valve stem and press and release the test button to train the RF TPS.
8. Repeat step 7 for the RR and LR tires.
Message center will display TIRE TRAINING COMPLETE.

The tech said that he usually has to try multiple times to get it to work.
