This seems to be a common problem with these cars. So whats everyones solution? Seat covers? Any suggestions? Seats from another car? A company that recovers them?

Thanks... didnt see any other threads on this

My idea would be go to a j-yard and swap the seats. I think leather redoing is quite a bit of change. But anyway, i would like to hear other ideas.

Yeah Im sure it is. Are these seats SHO specific or are they just leather Taurus seats?

I think full Leather in the SHO, 1/2 and 1/2 in the SHO and Taurus SE.

I'm drawing a blank- beer deprivation. Anyone?

Check www.leatherseats.com. They make new custom seat covers. Order them, find an interior shop in your area and have them installed.

Yea, well I didn't say they were cheap and you did not specify that you were looking for a cheap fix. If you are looking for cheapest way get some duck tape and have at it (just kidding)! Anyway, they look gooooood when finnished!!!

I've seen full leather seats in a regular Taurus, equipped like that out of the factory. I assume that these are the same seats that were put in the SHO.

You can order a kit from Katzkin for the Gen II, and its reasonable, and you should be able to install it yourself. I am currently working on a complete kit for the Gen I, and instructions, with pics on how to remove and replace seatcovers in a SHO. http://www.shoforum.com/showthread.php?t=57208 is the thread. But as for a GOOD cheap fix I dont think their is one, except going to wallmart and getting some seatcovers and putting them on ;), thats what I did before I learned to sew.
