An interesting idea, but no way to verify the claims. The honor system and the internet don't mix well.

Thanks to all for adding information. I will update the lists ASAP. At the moment I am exhausted so it will have to wait.

I got my 160 run on video...anyone have any vids of stock sized tire SHO at more than 6K in 5th?

IIRC, PanamaPat ran a 13.2 @ 114 (SC). At 5800 feet elevation, on a 90 degree day.

I thought it was a 13.8?

You should start one of these for top speed...

Man, that would thin the herd a bit. I'd hate to see people compete to get on that list. :bonk:

You removed your cams? :nut:

By the way, there was a turbo SHO (not Jeremy/Tim's) that ran a 12.x. The setup wasn't pretty but apparently it worked. I think that it was part of the thread that Josh started last year reagarding who had run in the 12's. So far we only know of three: Josh, Mark and this other person. Josh may know if someone asks him.

Yeah, it was like a 12.56 and he had the time slip to prove it!

There was a thread about that car on superhighoutput.com with a link to the site it was posted on. I can't say I ever fully believed the timeslip shown. The ET and trap speed did not strike me as being realistic in relation to each other. (at least for a twelve or even thirteen second SHO)

At any rate, the owner of that car is not a SHOForum member and this is a SHOForum Top Ten list.

Maybe you should make one for the 1/8 mile too, since some people do not have a local 1/4 mile track.

Can you get me confirmation on the numbers? I am sure Jason saw the run as well, I just want to make sure before adding it to the list. Was that in the white car or the track car? Very impressive given the heat and elevation!

Bandimere_06_05.jpg

The NHRA altitude correction factors for Bandimere are 0.9405 for ET and 1.0563 for trap speed. If applied, it would translate to a [email protected]

NHRA Correction factors at:
Altitutude Correction Factors

This was my first and only run of the day before the car developed a misfire. This was also on street tires (Kumho MX). I've not been back since, but would like to sometime.

No way. The cams have cost me 3 tenths in the quarter mile. I did increase my trap speed half a mile an hour, though. If I could get the tuning (transmission) done, I expect to pick up a tenth or two over my 14.8, an trap at 96.5 or so. I am killed when the car shifts too early 1-2, 2-3. When I had the ScTuner in the car and set the shifting to 7600 at WOT in each gear, the car would really scream up past 100. The sound of the Yamaha revving that high was just unreal.

I lost the timeslips looong ago (will get more next summer when I get a clutch in)

1/8th mile track...hinesville raceway in Hinesville, GA, April something, somewhere around 65* with low humidity, I ran a best of 8.9@87mph on my old clutch, decent tires and enough VHT on the track to make your shoes stick to the lanes.

In michigan, on the other hand, at US 131 Dragway, I've done a best of 15.2@92mph with REALLY crappy tires and a badly slipping clutch.....something like a 2.5 60ft time. I couldn't hook up to save my ****. I could use the excuse that everyone who was there was complaining that they were at least .5 seconds off their normal times, cuz it was about 85* with around 500% humidity, so....

And when's the last time you've heard of a SHO shifting to 4th in the 1/4 at 92mph? I hate my clutch..........

I'll post summore next year when I get a clutch that sticks past 6500rpm and with tires that actually hook up.

Even that 1/8th mile time seems boosted. You sure about that. I ran in the 9.5-9.6 range when I was running 14.9's. 1/8th mile times like yours should put you into the 13's in the 1/4.

 I dunno...I ran several in the 9.7-9.4 sec range throughout the night....that was a fluke or something...could've been screwed up lights, as others were bragging about one shot runs that put em quite a bit faster than they usually ran. I wish I still had the time slip, but oh well....

...next year...

PLEASE tell us what your SHO has done. I hope it has a good amount of bolt-ons and weight reduction, if you're not running N2O or boost.

Didnt ryans 94 have the rear seats out of it when he made that run?

EDIT: And David, your 93 is Royal Blue, not to be confused with midnight blue.

nope, mine was the "cool" blue: midnight, not moonlight ("royal"). It looked almost purple in the sunlight. Had kind of the mystichrome effect :)

I assume SuperHO IS boosted. 8.9 in the 1/8 is barely possible with 9 psi... better be quaife equipped at that. And 78 mph is also a boosted sho trap...
Man, I need to go to THAT dragstrip OR Lapeer, I would like my SHO a lot more

lessee......

3.2 w/ 3.0 cams
gutted airbox w/ K&N
ported intake manifold (primaries mild, secondaries quite aggressive)
74mm MAF
Doug Lewis superchip
Dynomax catback

I was running a set of BF Goodrich drag radials borrowed from a friend set at 15psi, the interior was completly stripped with the exception of the driver's seat, shifter and dash....and the dash was stripped of everything that I didn't need...weighed in at around 3100lbs with my fat **** in the driver's seat and 1/8th a tank of gas and a pair of skinnies on the back. I kinda went all out when I went to the track that day.

I'm still not certain that the timing equipment was accurate, which is why I clarified that i was running mid 9s every other run, so please, no flames. This racing season's over for me, as my clutch can't handle a drag launch, so while the SHO's put away for the winter it'll be recieving some much needed maintenence in the form of full suspension, prolly lookin at a Spec stage III clutch, valve last & compression check and if I can, a set of cams. I''ve already gotten rid of the catback set-up and am currently running a 2.5" custom cat back with a single out that sounds great and has apparently added a little bit down low while taking away a little bit up top. Oh yeah...a Y-pipe or headers is also high on the list.

Then, hopefully next summer I can hit Mid-Michigan (where I hear there's this thing called traction) and maybe tick off a few mid 14s...that's my goal, anyway.

92-93 were Royal blue (dark metallic with that purple color shift that you describe). 94-95 were the moonlight blue which is a much lighter color.

My car (see sig pic) is a royal blue 93 like your was. I personally prefer the 92-93 color.

I don't know, with all of that, it is quite possible, no doubt! :thumb:

I ran mid 9's with less than you and have a 9.2 somewhere in there, and that was all with CAI and no interior, slips still around.

Your run would've came out to probably have been anywhere from 13.8-14.0 in the quarter.
