when using a crows foot on a torque wrench, make sure you use it at a 90 degree angle. otherwise it becomes and extension of the wrench and your torque setting is off.

Not on 1993 and newer SHO's the nut sits way down in
That's what an extension bar is for.

Your torque wrench manual should (at least my craftsmans do) have a section on extensions which gives you a formula you can use to make a correction.

Torque wrench newbies! :p

Thers no room for a crows foot.....Just a socket
Hmmmmm.... How many set of SHO struts have YOU actually assembled and installed???

I've done AT LEAST 8 sets that I can count off the top of my head, probably closer to double that amount, and have ALWAYS, SUCCESSFULLY, used a crowsfoot every time, regardless whether they were new stock, police, or aftermarket mounts, on all 3 generation SHO's and Tauruses.

The only possible scenario I've seen where a crowsfoot might not work would be on some old stock rear mounts there might not be enough room, but who would be foolish enough to spend good $$$ on new struts & springs only to reuse an old stock mount?

Does it look like a Flank Drive, box, deep offset wrench?
