Hear ! Hear !

(to Tony and Sandy that is . . .)

First, let me thank both Tony and Sandy for opening up their home and hosting such a wonderful gathering of friends from all over! :thumb:

In order to make the claim that " . . . it's like I'm a little kid all over again . . .", normally requires that said individual not be in a perpetual state of acting a little kid again . . . . Then again, it is Chris . . . .

Second, let me thank all the drama llamas for reminding me what it's like to be back in high school all over again. I missed my 20th reunion last year so now it's like I'm a little kid all over again.

I think my "frosted" state lasted about as long as my shouting, "that f-cking **** sucker . . . ." But it was fun trying to sneak around right in front of the crowd and leave a few shrink-wrap surprises attached to five cars. If you thought that look was my being mad - it was simply me pondering how I was going to get even . . . .

Unfortunately, there were too many people wandering the street and too many driving by, to do what I really wanted to do. Not to mention preventing me from sneaking any cardboard out of the garage . . . . :naughty:

But the looks I got from a few of the neighbors as they drove by, were priceless.

:blah: :blah: :blah:

From what I understood, Keith was a little frosted at first, but lightened up after realizing that it was done in fun and wasn't anything personal. We originally expected that after finding his car shrink-wrapped that he would come back to the group to tell everyone so they could go see for themselves, everyone could have a good laugh and help him remove the shrink wrap. It didn't work out that way, but Keith still didn't get all pissy about it and go stomping off in a huff.

And where are the pictures :ohreally:

Later on, we taped Neno and his girlfriend to a light pole. Everybody was having fun. Afterwards we realized that we still had a lot of shrink wrap left, so we figured it would be fun to shrink wrap another car.

Well, if your car hadn't been parked right in front of Tony's driveway . . . .

I was fully expecting to wake up the next morning and find something done to my car. Just like all the other gags, I figured it would be something funny but that did not cause permanent damage like letting the air out of my tires or something. Nothing happened, but I firmly believe that if something had that I would have taken it as a joke and had a good laugh about it. I even thought Michelle and Adam might have driven back to do something.

IMO, after what happened to John at Carlisle, most everything else has been minor by comparison.

Whether it's Carlisle, the convention, Tony's BBQ, or any of the other countless events during the year when this group gets together, there are always some practical jokes, and up until now everyone has always been good humored about it. Every year, there are burnouts and people's cars get driven around the area at 100+mph and nobody cries. Heck, I think Jason actually enjoys having others beat the **** out of his cars each year (although he missed it this year). In any case, he knows it's all meant 100% in fun. ****, I'd personally be more ticked about someone doing a burnout next to my car and the risk of damage from that over a simple practical joke of shrink-wrapping. Anyone who has been to any of these events knows this, so I would think they'd be prepared for the possibility of practical jokes being played on them. Chris Gates was probably the best example of a good sport when he laughed right along with us after we silly-stringed his car while he was sleeping in it (and please note that I shot my OWN car with silly string first to make sure it wouldn't do any harm).

So, if anyone wants to be ****** at anyone else, be ****** at me. It's unfortunate that I've lost Adam and Michelle as friends over a silly practical joke, but I can sleep well tonight knowing that it was all done in jest.

I tell you what - I won't be arriving at the posted time and end up having to park at the end of the street next year . . . .

I didn't know much of the story until you posted.

Anyone at all that has attended any sort of party with this group knows there is going to be a meriad of fun and games played. The so called "victims" are chosen only because of the place and time that the so called prank is picked. It could be pure bad luck or timing that gets someone as well.
I personally think that this year's event was pretty damn low key.

I call dibs on castrating Kris (sorry Andy - you snooze, you loose!)

Okay, castrate me if you will but this whole thread is getting out of hand. I normally keep my mouth shut on the lists but this is a little rediculous.

It was still a damn good BBQ Mr. & Mrs. Fullone!!! Thank you again.

A great party hosted by Tony and Sandy but to be honest, the burnouts by drunken drivers in the street lined with cars on both sides, and in the middle of a neighborhood (with kids !!!) is just plain stupid. Neighbors were ****** and coming out of their houses when they heard the sqealing. If anyone were to get hurt, or worse, those involved would be looking at serious consequences; aka lawsuits / jail time; in other words, your life could be ruined over such behavior. Sorry if I am sounding like a party pooper, but I have kids too and this is not the time or place to SHO off with burnouts fueled by alcohol.

WOW WTF?

Someone asked me why I wasnt active like I normally am.. Well after reading this and seeing what else went on Im glad.

People were getting ****** at one another for well no really good reason.. Rember actions speak louder than words folks! Everyone speaks a bit differently.. If a new guys says somehting you dont like ask them why they would say that and Im sure the answer would be it was a joke.. or like my typing skills can be sometimes- HORRIBLE. Plus when listening to someone that is drunk you have to take what they say into consideration..

Car gatherings with this group always has its practicle jokes and ALWAYS will, its a joke.. String, shrink wrap, ect ect is a joke and no one really should get ******.. GET EVEN! if shit got broken then get mad.

Kris is right.. driving the car in the rain will all the debris will do far more damage then wraping a dry car that is not moving.. Dont forget this is the group that does it all.. Carlise, conventions and BBq's if there isnt someone that has a part that was broken on hand or a day away I would be a bit more worried! as much as we all love our cars, there is no one there that has anything that cant be replaced with off the shelf parts.

Burnouts are part of the event, so is driving fast and fireworks, water ballons, tackleing freinds in chairs, cones on houses, and airhorns! I must be the ******** here but if you dont like this stuff then dont come. the day that this group will all sit out back under the tent and behave is the day I will stop going and Im sure Tony would stop the BBQ's. At these events some bring thier children, we all watch our kids and know where they are at all times. if your concerend for anyones saftey maybe you should pay more attention to where the kids are. I know where mine were.. (well leslies)

New guys (COUGH) there were a few good points at why people were mad.. YOUR NEW! no one knows how to take things said and things done untill they know you. Dont try to be the life of the party on your first time, read the layout and see who does what and what the others are like.. they dont understand you and you dont know who they are either!

IE...
James is a dick for shrink wrapping a car, but its ok (somewhat) for Chris to do it.. Michelle, Tony was ****** because Angela saw you dump the pile of wrp in the driveway and no idea why, she dont know you and dont know what happened and what started that. she just seen some girl stop the car get out and throw things in the yard. after it was explained to her she was fine, she still thought you should have not done tht but she knew why.

and My excuse for being well quiet and undestructive was that I was tired, ive been driving alot lately and I got in early to help setup with this. I got in late thursday night, went shopping for the food, beer, propane on friday, and never really caught up on sleep. then with the bickering amoungst some I was really put off.. (it wasnt just one incident with a couple there was lots of this going on) and the last BS thing about the shrink wrap, what fun was there to have when shit is in the air?

everyone made thier appologies and I hope its all good now. it was great to see all of you again. and if your still mad about the pranks start thinking about how to get them back now.. its a year away and you should be able to come up with something good! and I would be glad to help:salute:

"Tell that to the judge" after you run over a 5 yr old kid chasing his soccer ball into the street between parked cars and then serve 15 yrs for DUI and manslaughter. My kids were not there; it is the kids of the families that live in the neighborhood that everyone needs to respect. They live there, and their kids play outside their own houses. I overheard Tony saying "take it out to Theodore street and don't speed here " more than once.

Okay, I officially declare the drama over.

If someone wants to start a new thread for pix and such without bringing up all this crap again (yeah, I said crap), please feel free to do so.
