the e brake shaft that goes into the caliper gets sticky.

And not using the parking brake will make this happen even faster.

Thanks for all the input, I'll try and get together with some of the Shocago guys.

As for the ebrake, that's why I stopped using it because it kept seizing, and let's just say I almost lost my car to the fire gods.... if was seized JUST enough to generate heat, but not enough to really make much of a drag, so I noticed it finally when I stopped and saw smoke coming from the left rear wheel well... (thankfully no fire... that was almost 2 years ago.)
