It seemed I was getting a lot of rubber coming off of my rears at Autobahn on monday. I just contributited it to the heat outside (low 90s) and the heat of the track. Any issue I should be looking for?

So I got a tip on some C91s. 275/35 18. Probably going to get 8 and get those 18" TSW Nurburgrings...

I'm curious how long those will last. The C71 is the soft, Auto-X compound. They are pretty damn soft but have been wearing well for Auto-X. I would suspect with the C91's, your going to really have to pay close attention to tire temp and pressure.

Thank you, Mark! I ran the C91s at VIR. They had 3 heat cycles and about 70% tread left. After a day on my heavy V, there was no really noticeable wear. The tires are probably still good for a couple weekends of HPDE, at least.

And sticky, too. The V needs a lot of front bite as it tends to chew up outer front edges as it did on my PS2s last year at Waterford Hills. Running 275/35 18 all around, the V did really well. And there are a number of used ones out there...

VIR was very easy on tires. I did 114.x miles on the track, and just had some light scuffing at the end of the day. I've had way more wear from a couple short autocross passes.

Actually, VIR Full is fairly easy on tires. VIR Grand East is not so easy. The 1.1 mile Patriot course it uses is tight and technical.

Maybe I'll just keep going to VIR Full...:dribble:

I found VIR to be fairly ******* my inside fronta. I had 75% left on my R6s getting there and wore 1 to the cords on the last session and the other is almost there as well.

I ran a new set of C71's. They held up great. They'll probably dry rot before I wear them out
