OH you didn't know
I just replaced the water pump and am putting it back together, while attempting to install the new timing belt, I lined up the top two sprockets with the marks on the backing of the covers and lined up the crank with the mark (approx 5:00 clock position), but the belt marks do not line up with the crank sprocket. Does the lettering on the timing belt face a certain way? My Chilton's book indicates that I have the crank mark pointing in the right direction. Help!

The writing on the timing belt should be readable from the rear of the engine. I.e. if you're standing by the passenger's side, the writing should be backwards.

That is kinda what I thought, it says that in the Chiltons manual, but then again in the Chiltons manual it also says that the supercharger fluid level should be checked on the SHO also. Thanks for the info!
