After going back in to fix my timing belt, it was way too loose and had allowed the engine to get out of timing. The tensioner stayed in the unload position without the nut tightened, so I rotated it until it did the correct thing. Then set the belt according to instructions, when I tried to start it this time it started, stuttered, then died and now it won't start again. I'm sure the belt has slipped out of timing again, but I'm not sure what's wrong with my tensioner...

You did tighten up the tensioner bolt, right? I know it's a silly question, but hey let's start with the obvious... shrug
