Hi !

I just want to be sure that i understanded everything ... In instructions

If a new belt is being installed, perform the following steps:

Position the timing belt tensioner tool T93P-6254-A or equivalent, using the power steering pump bracket holes.

Hand tighten the timing belt idler bolt.

Using a inch lbs. torque wrench with belt tensioner attachment T93P-6254-A, rotate clockwise to 4.3 inch lbs. (0.5 Nm).

Tighten the timing belt tensioner bolts to 27-37 ft. lbs. (36-50 Nm), then remove the timing belt tensioning tool.

And when i done that,, doesnt i have to thouch anymore that timing belt idler bolt?? Is it just ok if i left it just hand tighten position ??

Thanks

Ok, whether a new belt is installed or not you don't have to do that. Simply compress the tensioner and install it with it compressed. Align the timing belt with its repective position and release the tensioner. The factory setting of the timing belt tensioner idler bearing is sufficient. The timing belt tensioner idler bearing nut should not be loosened unless the bearing has failed and is being replaced.

Thanks...
I thought also,,, that kind of special procedure have to do if there´s some
other (bearings) jobs to be done at same time... Sounded little weird
that kind of check....

I just replace that belt and just compress that piston in vice... And just
mount it back...
