timing belt connected to the ...cam sprocket

cam sprocket connected to the...cam lobe...

You know, it's a song. well anyway, there ain't no movement in the rt side exhaust cam lobes during cranking... so 99% its the timing belt. I got back safe, although I had to wait three hours for the tow/hauler. Here's a pic, Kinda looks like her two siblings, Wish me luck!!

Got That Right!!It's funny how the engine of the MTX sits in the bay, I didn't realize it would look different. I saw the overflow tank in pics, but man, those rear plugs, a might tricky..

Yah, great, the only thing to pray for now is that they don't open it up and see the belt, such that we're talking cam sprocket or worse,

It was the belt...yay!, Said it looked like the crank sprocket buzzed off the teeth from the belt. 21 year, that's pretty go for a fomoco product I'd say, ...pretty good for any product that has 170k miles..
