question- I just got a 93 with the 3.2 with automatic tranny with 130k on it. I did my 92 MTX 3.0 belt, pretty simple job. I just read that with the 93 3.2 ATX , if the belt is original which I think it is, I need a special tool regarding the auto belt adjuster. Is this true? I got the 60K video and I don't remember that any special tool is required for the 3.2, but that might have been fot the MTX. is there a different procedure for the ATX. I hate to break down entire front of engine only to get stuck cause I don't have this tool. any help and tips appreciated. Pete

Yes, there is a "tool" for the ATX, but it's not necessary.

If your timine belt tensioner piston is good, you'll have no worries. You need to compress the piston, lock it in place with a pin (I use a snipped-off section of carburetor spring hook), time it, bolt it in, release the pin, and I give it a light snugging pull up on the tensioner pulley before buttoning up.

It IS different mechanically than the MTX, but similar process.
