Are the hid kits on flea bay any good? Any other thoughts on bulbs for this car, I can't see crap. I've used silverstar ultras before and they were acceptable but not worth 50 bucks.
I have new lenses so they are not foggy, and they are adjusted properly but I'm still in the dark. I want lights like my Caravan has. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best thing I did to my gen 3 was
1) purchase and install new high output harness (I got mine back from suvlights.com or something like that - it was 5 years ago I don't remember... suv something)
2) silverstars, bought them with a rebate otherwise I wouldn't have bothered.
3) keep headlight housings clean.

I will never do HIDs cause I don't believe in crappy Chinese ebay crap but even moreso I live in Virginia and I have a hard enough time getting my cars to pass inspections. I don't know I've seen good setups though.

HIDftw.. i bought a set off ebay for less then 100 bucks last year.. work great just last week though one of the bulbs almost crapped out on me.. it works but operates at a lower voltage.. but for the price u cant beat em.. they are not the best most longest lasting things out there but cheapest way to get into HIDs.. ohyea and id rather go HID than any other route.. much brighter and much better visibility..

If youre interested on see how HID's look in a gen 3; I can show you the ones in my car; I would never buy a silverstar or any other bulb out there only HID's; but beware of ebay kits (you get what you paid for) I got my kit from James in this forum and they are excellent. :thumb:

I do want HID's as well, and have contemplated getting a kit off ebay, but like svtnos said, bought a set for $100 and one bulb already crapped out. If you do decide to go HIDS, spend more money upfront and you will be much happier in the long run imo

You guys should look at www.ddmtuning.com. I just ordered some for my Lightning, as those guys swear by these things. They have a good warranty also. Like the others said, I wouldn't trust the Ebay lights lasting too long.

I think I may try the hid kit. 50-100 bucks is very reaonable. I'll order an extra set of bulbs in case they die and call it good. All I care about is light output not longetivity. If they die in 6 months who cares.
I'm not sure how to explain it but here in colorado it's like being in a cave at night, extremely dark.

If you get a HID kit get the bi-xenon type. Otherwise you will blind oncoming traffic or have to lower the aim on the headlights so much you make them ineffective.
