ok i am in the middle of swapping motors...and i got my new one dropped in and got everything hooked back up and all of a sudden a peice metal falls out....it came from the firewall side of the engine bay....i dont remember every un bolting it.... im sure its important.....my motor is ready to fire now...everything went together fine....couldnt see nothin outta place....hope the pics load....any help is greatly appreciated.....

Looks like the peice of sheetmetal that holds the electrical harness away from the motor.

Located between the rear intake surge tank and the firewall, on the passenger side of the motor. Near the EEC. It should bolt to the surge tank brace, and hold that large mass of wires located back there.

I am sure it's for top and side bracket on mtx. I am not sure what actual purpose of it. I can assume it's purpose was to act as reverse switch sheild.

Don't worry about it, you don't need. It feel off from the transmission casing.

That's the bracket off of the MTX case. If I remember right it is just there to protect the clutch cable.

aight thanks guys.... like i said ive got everythingn back in and it looks a ok..... it jus worried me wen the darn thing jus fell out all of a sudden lol....thanks

It's easy enough to put back. It goes on top of the tranny. I'd put it back just to say "it's right"
