I was driving home yesterday and my check engine light came on. When I drove the car over 4000 RPM's it was acting real funny but didn't lose full power. It's at the dealership right now. I am assuming its the cams. Any other suggestions?

Maybe its your trans. My check engine light came on when my tranny was giving a slip code.It drove like crap too.

On sat, I had a transmission flush and fill. Maybe they forgot to fill.

Dude, you left the dealership without checking your fluids!!This is kind of a common problem with some dealerships, my sister dropped here Grand Am off to get a oil change at a Pontiac dealer and I went to pick her car up and I checked the oil and it was bone dry eek! I stormed in the service dept and started ripping the service writer a new one Its just crazy that stuff like this could happen.

i would not worry to much, if it had full power its probly the up stream o2s gone bad, easy fix. randy

Well it looks like I am safe for the time being. It turned out to be one of the engine coils. Need to get those things welded asap.

Thats good news, did the dealership put in new plugs? Also, does the car run better?
