Look man take a chill pill. I called you out for going out of your way to bash. You called me fully ********. And I agreed with the fact that the lines should not be done that way. And no I don't think you should have kept your mouth shut, but you should have called the owner and given him the chance to make it right before bashing. Good day.

I didnt pay him for this job. Somebody else did. I think this should be public information for anyone who decides to use/not use FPS.

Man, the moon gets a little close to the earth for one night, and all the trolls are falling out of the woodwork.

Man, if anything, I'm glad that James took the time to document and disseminate this to the rest of us. With what FPS charges for their SHO service, they ought to be held to a higher standard. Letting something like that leave their shop is not only shameful, but from what I understand about the rest of the story (ie. that same rubber fuel line resting on an exhaust manifold) it's lucky that this didn't cost someone their home or their life. This story needs to be in the open.

And if Doug is looking at this thread (I'm sure he's at least heard about it), he needs to chime in.

I thought about that. What would be a professional to say. That is unacceptable and it should have never left the shop like that. It was a mistake and if it was brought to my attention I would have handled it right away no problem?

I think anything more than that and it would turn into a bash fest on both sides. SHO's are only a small portion of his business I think it may be safe to say he does not browse the forums often.

Nah, i'm not here to bash. Yeah, I'm mad this melted my motor, but you know, people need to know. Simple. Everything else was done great. I guess its more of a disappointment than anything..

Half-ass job for sure, but much worse is dangerous half-ass job . Id much rather see you post this pic now then one of your car after a engine fire later. Sucks about the motor but its a good thing you found that now.

When I said Epic it meant nothing to the clown that posted after me. My epic and his epic are two different things. His epic would be 2 fat chicks at the same time. Mine would be Amanda Seyfried and Lindsay Lohan at the same time (let the bashing begin!)

I remember when Jean with his red SC SHO lived in Jacksonville. We both were looking to take our SC SHOs to FPS to get a better tune than the SHOSHOP one. Doug came on here spouting his mouth off and well, not one of us gave him our business. Of course this is why I am left with having to figure out a twEECer because if you want something done right, you should just do it yourself.

**** :swing:

Wow just wow. Real mature. Funny how big and bad everyone becomes on forums. I wasnt trying to start a ******* match and no I had nothing to do with this car. I am mostly a diesel tech. I was however trying to save face for a company that I work for. My only point was that by going to doug we all end up with a happier result. A major mistake is brought to hisattention and he is given the chance to make it right. I will say this in closing, I'm sure you all know that this trade lends itself to a lot of idiots and good help can be hard to find. Excuses aside, how many ******* mistakes do you figure a full timetech see s on a daily basis from dealers other shops, yet I'm not out there bashing every single one. I'm sorry this happened , even ashamed and I assure you I take a great deal of pride on my work as well does doug.

Wow Just Wow, end result anybody that thinks placing a thin walled plastic fuel line inside if a rubber tube and clamping it many times is a good idea should get out of the gene pool. (might happen anyway if that person works on there own car)

Cost this time was only an engine, I rode in that car for 16 hours fortunately nothing happened. My kids still have a dad just like James'. But if your name is on the door you are responsible for everything that goes on behind them.

I really have no dog in this match, and couldn't afford Doug if I did want to go to him, but...

As a father of 3, I'd have to side with James and Inkertinker here... That had the potential to be real deadly. I would hope that whomever did that, would've been found out and let go. And if it was the man himself... Just shame man.

And to think I had the car for nearly 2 years once I got it back from there myself and then to see what was placed inside the line just makes me sick to my stomach James. So glad all of us are safe and that you are in the position to be able to correct this and get the car back to how it needs to be.

Now think how **** he is when he finds this shit on the car he just bought and drove 1/2 way across the country. A car that was supposed to be a quality build. There is no excuse for that, if you care and take that much pride in your work then help weed out the ratards.

Oh and what part of that fuel line is the pride? The clamps or the rubber hose?
