This cop was an ass

Well I had a fun little run in with the cops last night. I was driving on the border of new hope and Plymouth and I guess I blew threw a stop sign. I told the cop I did not see any stop sign but he reassured me that there was. So he pulls me out of my car along with my brother and his friend and start searching us (because he smelled marijuana) even though all it smells like is outdoor breeze and paint. So he goes in my car and just tears it up... so I am sitting on the curb for 20 minuets waiting for him to find something that is not their...so he gets out and searches us again still nothing. Another cop drives up and I am talking to him and even the other cop says he is an ass. So I get a ticket for failing to abide to a stop sign and have all my crap all over my car he knocked over a can of mountain dew all over in my cassette holder. I look at the ticket $142

I went back to look at the stop sign I blew and the f*cking thing was knocked over behind a big ass sign I was so ******.

Should I fight it or just pay the ticket???? Let me know

If the cop was as big a Dick as it seems, I would take it to court. Go and take several pictures of the sign and have them printed at a good printing shop and take them to court. I'll bet money the judge will aquit you. Oh' Im still waiting for you to stop by Sammy! Mark

i told him he could not serch my car he said then we would have to tow the car and you will be in shoe mode untill he recived a warrent from a judge...i did not want to sit in new hope at 1 in the morning....but i will take it to court ill go get pics after i get off work

Man I hate *sshole cops! Take pictures of the stop sign and take it to court! Courts assume most people are just gonna pay a ticket even if its not a valid one.

Take it to court with pics plead not guilty and also let the courts know that he threatened you with towing the car and searched the three of you twice. He can do a search of your persons for safety to verify that you don't have a weapon, anything else is illegal, unless they have good probable cause

Your giving this kid false info. What tv show did you watch that makes you think a cop needs a warrant to search your car. Im sure the guideline to your entire life is the internet, but please know in the real world things work a little different.
