I'm contemplating possibly selling my 17" chrome wheels and getting something different. (Mods-please don't delete, this is not a solicitation to sell)
I know everyone likes different wheels, so let me know which ones you like. The Tire Rack is where I got my current wheels from, but they only offer 29 styles at this time.
I'm looking at eBay right now and see quite a few good deals on there.
I definitely like chrome, but might get non-chrome if I really like the style.

I was seconds away from buying Enkei 5+'s a while back. I just like the look for some reason.

I saw the centerline forged wheels at an auto show recently and I liked what they had displayed. I also think the BBS RK1's are sweet as **** also.

If and when I do get new wheels, I think I'll look for something in a grey finish with a polished lip

I plan to get 17" Centerlines powdercoated black when I install my 13" rotors and PBR calipers. I figure this way I have my cake and eat it too, by gain wheel hp with the lower wieght of the wheels and brakes over stock and having more braking power over stock.

Wuzzer, first off, love your car! :D Second, be cool like me( ) and get 18's or even 19's. Zenetti offers the Mystik, Vega, and Valeo in chrome and silver in 18.8.5, 19x8.5, or 20x8.5 that will fit our cars(barely), and SSR's GT-3(avaiable through Tirerack) is also available in 19x8, and supposedly has a fitment for our bolt pattern as well. Or, if your looking for something a tad cheaper, go with something like the 18x8 ARE Vortec's I'm running. Silver spokes and a polished lip look really nice I must say. wink thumbs_u Good luck.

Well, they dont only throw off your speed. They put a dent in your wallet and yes the ride is quite harsh. You are always being careful not to hit them on the curb $$$. You need to buy low profile tires, really low. And also the the tires arnt that cheep either. Maybe $200

18" Sport Edition Fox 2's... $149 ea. at Tire Rack. Add a set of Kuhmo 712's and you'll be happily wheeled for about $1100 +/-.

Except for the Kumho 712 part, which are about the worst Z rated tire I have ever driven. But very fine looking wheels, there. :)

Mike, if I bought those 18s I would definitely send them out to be chromed. I wonder how much that would cost/wheel? Those would be bad in chrome!!

18's don't ride very harsh at all. You can get plenty of tire for well under $200 also. As for 20's, it's been done and they didn't look that oversized on the car. Personally I'm shooting for 19's. Later.

Venom
P.S. Pics of the SHO on 20's at my superford account. Also of my 18x8 ARE's which cost lsee than $200 a wheel. wink

While I don't have a Gen 3...you can see what the Centerline RPM's look like on a Gen 2. Price and wheel weight was a home run in my book. And if you attend the Fall Run you can see them in person.

Kaotic, those are very good looking 17 inch rims. Some of the best I have seen. Would like to see a GENIII with those. Maybe mine someday......

PS and it is now about 2 hours later. On the SHO Shop site there is a GENIII wearing dark rims and looking good. I wonder what rims they are. Do any of you guys know?

Thanks for the compliment. As for the power let's just say that it is...traction challenged. wink

Jeremy Hohn:
Jason, what did you do with those "old" rims? Just curious. wink
Well, they are "resting" in my living room in the containers that used to house the new rims. Might possibly be looking for a nice home for them. *wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge*

Thank you. They really do look better in person and the color masks the brake dust from the Wilwoods very well. I contacted Centerline and they said that they will be coming out with more styles pretty soon. The next style however would be WILD! uh, oh....
