Yes, after 7-ish years of being a noSHO, I'm back.

True story - as I was doing the trade-in on my 2004 Infiniti G35 6MT (I bought it new to replace my 1995 SHO), I noticed the original title date on that car was Feb 2, 2004. Apparently I've been struck by some weird automotive variant of the 7 year itch as last night I bought the Tuxedo Black 2010 SHO that started this thread.

Didn't get home from the dealer until 10:45 or so, but slept with a smile on my face. :)

The SHO gets in the blood and lingers, doesn't it?

I still haven't seen a confirmed 2010+ SHO down here in my area of AZ. Though I hear the headlights are far better on the new ones in case you end up out on a looong bridge over the swamplands of Louisiana. :)

$30k is on the high side. I would see if you can get it down a few thousand.

I paid $30500 with 10000 miles on it 2 months ago

Agreed. If you do some shopping around you can get a better deal. Matter of fact I was having issues with finding other SHOs that weren't tuxedo black (and almost all were fully loaded). Picked up mine for $30k with 11k miles.

Rich, is that you? Memories of caravaning to conventions years ago (across abovementioned bridges) come to mind.

Weren't you also in my green '95 when I got it sideways on one of the tracks during a convention? :angelnot:

...and yes, the headlights are much improved in the 2010 model. :)

I'm looking at a used 2010 Taurus SHO - tuxedo black exterior, believe it has the 402B option package. It DEFINITELY has :

- sunroof
- heated/AC seats
- sony stereo
- rear sunshade.

I know the first three of above are 401b, but I think the last one pushes it into 402b, right?

It also has the navigation and performance package - although I was surprised to find a spare (NOT full-size) in the trunk - is this normal?

Curiously, I noticed on the Ford website that I can't seem to add the 402B package (with the rear sunshade) AND the performance package. I'm guessing these two are mutually exclusive? The car DEFINITELY has the 20" wheels AND the rear sunshade - I'm guessing either the 20" wheels might of been added without performance package or the sunshade was added without 402b? Don't know if it has BLIS as I test drove it at night and only had 15-20 minutes to check it out.

Manufacture date is 1/2010 and the car has 35k miles (lots of milage in a year - first owner was a outside sales rep of some type). Has a pulldown strap in the trunk - may be a "Job 2" car from what I've read on here. Looks to be pretty clean, and is a "certified pre-owned" at a Ford dealer with the 6yr/100k powertrain warranty - they're asking $30k.

Does this sound like a fair price?

Any tips on items to look at for a used SHO?

Appears to be the twin of mine-which is a 402A. Purchased in Dec 2010 w 18K for less than 29K. Would say with mileage and couple months older that you should be able to get price down.

Ahh, fond memories of staring backwards at a line of SHOs on Road Atlanta.

That was the trip where my car began showing signs of the rolled crank key, though she did keep up at the <still classified> speeds during the return caravan.
