Think ive decided on a amp...

I need an amp for my audiobahn 10" still. I cant really afford a fosgate or a mtx due to some SHO problems im currently having. I did come across the Boss REV2000D. RMS power, 4 ohm 800W x 1 RMS power, 2 ohm 1400W x 1. Frequency response 20-300Hz. S/N ratio 100db. I can get the amp for 200. Comments and suggestions are welcome seeeing how im totally new to car audio...By the way the sub is rated at 1000rms/1500max.

Boss is a very cheap brand. You will be getting what you pay for. I would suggest looking else where.

Those power ratings for that amp you are looking at seem out of kilter with the price. Also, what voltage does it make that power at?

We are just watching out for you.

That why i post this stuff...I checked and ya, i found a place saying that its actually like 900rms. I may just go with the 3000D. 1x2200

Boss isn't that much better than Legacy. I say you save up till you have the money to get what you really want.

My friend had a silver boss amp (looked pretty nice) running two W3's in his Civic and his trunk caught on FIRE eek! I would NOT suggest these AT ALL, he liked it until it caught on fire, I remember it used to cut-out all the time, but he was pushing some nice subs. I would suggest the Lanzar 1200D (Vibe Series) am...I paid 117 for it off Ebay (it is 200 brand new) and is a GREAT amp, I cannot explain how good of an amp it is. It is rated @ 1200 watts and thats even UNDERRATED. It is amazing. I am running it to 2 Audiobahn Flame series subs and it knocks. If you wanna get a "cheap"-er amp, I say go with the Labzar 1200D or the Vibe 250. They are both great amps. But DO NOT touch the Boss, pyramid,etc. They are just bad Ebay brands...lol
