Ok, just remembered one thing... auto sensing wipers... great in theory but for some reason going through a tunnel trips it ok for a second. Like a customary wipe. Also, during early morning and theres condensation it’s useful but when the condensation is gone it still wipes for a little while longer. The windshield is ****ing dry

I turned that off the moment I realized it was there, which was the same early morning I realized my car was trying to drive itself! Deactivated all of it, lol. I'm perfectly capable of turning my wipers on and off...

Resetting a f*ckton of settings after every flash. Having to change my underwear every time I launched too hard and felt like the PTU may have cracked. Sharing a dash cluster with the fusion. Having the inferior 3.5.... and not getting the Lincoln 3.0.....

I did that for my auto high beams after the car decided to high beam an on coming unmarked cruised. Smh. I just wish the wiper sensor wasn’t so damned sensitive. Lol

I just want you all to know, this is the best thread going right now. I’m picking up my non-PP 2016 on Saturday, but have been lurking on this forum for a solid three months and this forum is chalk full of quality car guys that really know what they are doing. However, pet-peeves are really what separates us and it proves that it doesn’t matter how much HP you have, some sh*t is still annoying. Love it!!

I'm going to gripe some. The autosensing wipers are not necessarily something that's meant to be turned on and forgotten about. It's a system to automatically change between intervals based on the amount of moisture on the windows so you dont have to cha.ge from slow to high and what not as your driving.

The good news is you can disable the auto wipers and default them to interval. I know for sure 16 and newer.

The auto high beam sensitivity is annoying and I have done the same thing to numerous people. I've also had the reverse happen to me. Seems the system doesnt like motorcycles.

I've wondered if the camera in vehicles with lane keeping is better or if it's just a capability issue with the non technology pack cars. That "camera" really isn't a camera that it can take photos camera.

I've driven newer Lincolns with the system and it is much better operation.

The lack of a man pedal to the left of the brake pedal.... that would have been a wonderful option...

And not having the adjustable bolsters like the gen1’s.... while completely silly, it always made me feel like game time when I cranked the bolsters up...

But aside from those, the rear window shade... and the rattling it makes when the music is loud. If I put the shade up it goes away.. annoying..

Just about 2 months since I bought my '13, that I think has every option except the massaging seat. Overall very happy with the style, handling, AWD, and value for how well equipped it is. I agree with the comments about:
- the turn signal: I hate when I try to turn it off and end up turning on the other, surely looking like an idiot to anyone behind me.
- steering wheel: should be able to lower it more
- front seat position: being 6 ft I would like more room and don't mind the b pillar so much as the overall comfort of the seats for the size of the car, and with the high waistline the interior can feel claustrophobic. Opening the sunroof helps though. The other car I was considering having rented several was, dear I say in this forum, a charger R/T, previous gen with AWD given I'm in New England.

Finally, I would like to be able to change the climate settings with one touch from the home screen rather than 2 (e.g. from floor vents to dash vents). Maybe there is a setting for that.

First world problems, but I'll bite....

There are a ton of things that irk me about my SHO, especially after coming from a Lexus LS460 (2008):

1. Rear doors don't unlock when you touch the handle. How much more would it have cost to have that?
2. Steering wheel doesn't go down far enough
3. No matter how you adjust a comfortable driving position, half the dash display is obstructed. I'm 6' 185 lbs, so it's not like I have an odd body shape.
4. No soft close trunk or for that matter, a trunk that pops all the way open. My BMW, Acura and Lexus ALL opened up fully when popped. I'd love an automatic close truck too, but again.,...first world problems.
5. Having to go through several screen menus to turn on/off some of the the HVAC controls
6. Drink holders are annoyingly configured.
7. An annoying SYNC update system......soooooo slow and cumbersome.
8. Right side view mirror doesn't dim. Really? Again, a few extra dollars. THings like that just scream "budget shortcut"

Going to a domestic product, I was prepared for shortcuts and omissions, so it's not a huge deal. Overall, I love this car, warts and all.

#1 - Sync 1 (MyTouch). Sometimes Bluetooth works fully and sometimes it fully connects but no audio for call or music. At least the Sync 2 guys can upgrade to Sync 3. 2010-2012 guys are stuck unless you want to reinvent the wheel.

#2 - Those premium tail lights on the 2010-2012 with chrome paint that flake off on 100% of cars. A simple sand and paint to black looks 100 times better. Or you can upgrade to the SEL model tail lights without chrome trim.

#3 - No PTU/RDU drain plugs for most of us. Drill/tap your own or replace them. I'm just living with it.

#4 - Smaller rotors for us 2010-2012 guys. She don't stop as fast I'd like to.

Nothing I can't live with. There are a few other minor quirks but nothing I can't live with. If I just bought a newer PP version it'd essentially have everything I want. But I've put too much into this one already and don't care to start over.

The height of the rear seats. Why is it up so much higher than the front? I can’t fit in the back...6’4”

The center console is huge yet can’t seem to hold much.

Door pockets can’t hold more than a pop can.

Seems to have some common themes

1) Upholstery cracking on the outside Drivers seat cushion.
2) Trunk release button location.
3) Buzz in dash area after having windshield replaced.
4) The dirt magnet that lives in our door sides and inside door openings.
5) Ruby Red Metallic Dark tint looks sooo good clean, but so horrible after the slightest rain (see #4 gripe)

Other than that, it's just about perfect

My code under the dash on driver side doesn't work. I really dont want to go to Ford either.
I couldn't get mine to work until I tried it with all doors closed. I was trying and trying the night I got my car after I found the factory code but I had the driver door open. As soon as I randomly decided to close the door the code worked. Good luck!
