so my car does not warm up if i am driving it barely goes inside the normal range. after aproximently 25 mins of driving. so i am guessing the thermostat. its a 92 mtx how hard is it to replace with the intake on?

Replacement isn't that hard at all. From memory, it's really just two nuts holding the housing on. You may want to remove enough coolant to not have a major spill. Drain the coolant into a clean bucket if you'd like to reuse it.

I would be tempted to replace the sensors as well. There is one fore and aft (refrencing the car) of the thermostat.

Yea its 2 8 or 10mm nuts , you might want to remove the upper airbox (with maf and all)

Be sure to align the threads correctly and tighten the bolts by hand if possible when installing the new thermostat. Don't want to cross-thread those bolts. I've heard of it happening a few times... It's a nightmare.

*Edit* Screw on by hand, then tighten with a ratchet, I meant. I fail at articulating right now.

my dad taought me to do that with all bolts when we rebuilt a motor

any improvement on the warming up while driving? mine is warm as long as i am sitting still, i get going and she drops!
