Well guys, after working on my car for quite some time, it's still not running. About a week ago, I had some intermittent problems with my idle. A few days after that, my SHO died completely. I have since replaced the fuel filter, cam position sensor, coil pack, DIS, throttle position sensor, and it still won't do anything. There is an arcing noise coming from the coil pack area also. I checked the fuel pressure and it is spot-on. I haven't done the crank position sensor, but it isn't even 15,000 miles old, and I disconnected it and the coil pack still made its noise.

Any ideas?? Thanks in advance.

Edit: The last time I tried to start it (after replacing the cam position sensor) there was quite a loud popping noise from under the hood.

Hi there. What kind of idle problems were you having? Have you checked to make sure the plugs are firing? If the coil is arcing that could be it, but I believe that there are 3 coils in that pack and your engine should at least start and run rough. Any engine off codes?

Popping noise?? You might want to put a timing light on it. That could rule out a lot of stuff if # 1 cylinder is firing when it should. It's also easy to pull the crossover tube and check the timing belt and for proper alignment.

Plug wires? hurry up and fix my car :) Also, you might check to make sure there isnt any build up (mildew) in any of the electrical connections. Like they said, hook up a timing light, that will tell a lot
