You shouldn't expect Tq from an oversized centrifugal blower on the SHO. Its design is for lots of power up high and none below 3k. a smaller pulley would help a lot with Tq. (more boost less rpms so more Tq). Your complaing about lag basically. change the blower or pulley but dont say a s/c sho is inferior....ur setup may be but dont put bad opinions for all s/c sho's.

Remember a T-trim is a commonly used blower for corvettes. For a 3.2L its a tad bit oversized

I'm not using a T-Trim, I am using a S-Trim. Smaller pulleys start tearing these transmissions apart, so its not worth it to me (I'm currently at 14lbs). And I am not saying a S/C SHO is "inferior", I am saying the that its power delivery is inferior...because it is. There is no denying that. If I were to do it again I would have gone with a turbo for the sake of not having to rev the car to 7500 RPM to make peak power. And my setup is far from inferior compared to the stock SHOshop setup.

after doing some research, im starting to think my bottle pressure was low on that run. from what im reading, the temp needs to be around 85-93°F for correct bottle pressure. as i said it was around 70. i had also just completed a run using n20 and the run i posted was last run of the night, so i didn't get to check pressure. so your probably right Sam.

guess the good news is. i should be able to post a much better time with correct pressure :). going on ebay now to find a heater lol

950 is right where you want to be at. When I was running nitrous I was shocked what a difference correct bottle pressure made.

The power delivery is at least 2x better from a turbo than nitrous. I was also running a 100 shot.

The turbo felt much more natural to the car. I always felt like the nitrous was some kind of steroid and my car would eventually die or get some kind of infection from using needles. Nitrous is cheap and easy, thats it. Anyone in their right mind would choose boost over n20 any day. I really really liked the power delivery of my turbo sho over the n20. Also, the trap speeds show it.

Notice the 2.1 60ft on street tires with full weight :) No drag radials back then lol.

Not questioning that boost will net more power, I'm just saying the power delivery with Nitrous is constant. There is no tapering off or waiting for it rev to take the full effect. I miss that. It's also worth mentioning, that my car has never felt like it was going to "blow up" with the Nitrous.

That would be 4/20/09. It was actually my grilfriend (who is Spanish) which figured that one out.

Sam - I just never trusted it. It didnt feel like it was going to blow up, I just never really liked the fuel pressure bump deal. I would have rather tuned it for nitrous on my own.

i checked my bottle before the run and it was right at 1000 psi. im not sure why my mph seems slow. could it be the tires? they're slightly smaller than stock. 5.5% smaller

Your 60' can certainly come down. On my 13.9 n2o runs I had a 2.1 60 foot. I know if you get that down some more you should be in the 13.7-8 range.

i agree. im just not sure how to get a better launch :/. i launch around 3500 and slip the clutch tell it feels like it will hook. then is wot all the way. maybe more rpm? and faster engagement? maybe i just need better tires lol

What suspension do you have? You should pick up some spring blocks to put in the rear. They make the ass squat less.
